Deneta "Dee" L. Britton

Deneta “Dee” L. Britton, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away July 22, 2010 at her residence.

She was born March 24, 1930 in Terre Haute the daughter of Louis C. Reichert and Geneva Blocksom Reichert.

Dee graduated from Gerstmeyer class of 1948. She worked at CBS for 18 years in the front office and management. Dee was a member of St. Benedict’s Church. She enjoyed needlepoint, tailoring, and crocheting.

Dee was a devoted and loving grandmother and one of her greatest joys was babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Britton on April 7, 1997; and a brother, Jack Reichert.

Survivors are one son, Louis F. Britton and wife Debbie; three grandchildren, Louis J. Britton and wife Megan, Laura Britton and fiancé Kyle Lee, and Leslie Britton; a special niece, Betty Jo Reichert; and many extended family members.

Funeral Information

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 12:05 PM at St. Benedict’s Church with Father Joel Burget officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Benedict’s Church, 111 S 9th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807 or Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 400 8th Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Envelopes will be available at the church.
