Shirley Ann Starr

Shirley Ann Starr, 72, of Brazil, passed away at 12:55pm February 7, 2010 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, following a long illness.

She was born in Coal Bluff, Indiana May 26, 1937 to John and Margaret Marie (Bailey) Eveland. She attended Fontanet High School. In her younger years she worked for Oehlers five and dime store and at the Rosedale IGA. She married William Starr May 10, 1963. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time out doors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Fred “Peanut” Eveland and Bobby Eveland and a sister Margie McMurray.

She is survived by her husband William Starr Sr.; son William Starr Jr. and wife Dawn of Brazil; daughter Sue Ann Fitzpatrick; younger brother Darrell Eveland and wife Cathy of Vigo County; grandchildren: Joshua Fitzpatrick, Samantha Starr, Jessica Starr and husband Ben Witt all of Brazil and; great granddaughter Kylee Witt as well as a large extended family.

Funeral Information

Services for Mrs. Starr will be at French Funeral Home, in Brazil, Thursday February 11, 2010 at 11:00am with Pastor Tony Alstott officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8pm.
