Clara M. Batchelor Clara M. Batchelor, 89, of Brook, IN died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the George Ade Memorial Health Care Center.
Born in Brazil, IN on September 4, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Madeline M. Yard. A resident of Brook the past 4 years, she previously resided in Brazil, Indiana. She was a homemaker. She was married to Melvin B. Batchelor, June 3, 1939 in Brazil, IN and he
preceded her in death May 1, 1993 in Brazil, IN.
She was preceded in death by 1 Son, Darrell R. Batchelor, 1 Grandson, 1 Great Granddaughter and 2 Great Grandsons.
Surviving are 5 sons, Larry G. Batchelor, Morocco, IN, Russell H. Batchelor, (wife, Shirley), Winamac, IN, Melvin Batchelor Jr., (wife Debral), Wolcott, IN, Jimmy D. Batchelor, (wife Margaret), Brazil, IN and Ricky A. Batchelor, (wife Lorretta) , Brazil, IN and 3 Daughters F. Elaine Lade, Beaverville, IL, Brenda S. Moore, (husband Fred), Bridgeton, IN, Sandra F. Shepard, (husband, Rick) , Beaverville, IL. Also surviving are 33 Grandchildren and many Great
Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Rick Wetnight officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel Wednesday from 4-8pm.
