Ernest Crowe

Ernest “Ernie” W. Crowe, 61 of Beech Grove, IN, formerly of Brazil died unexpectedly September 8, 2009.

He was born January 25, 1948 in Brazil the son of Edgar and Imogene Dietz Crowe. As a young man he attended the Prairie City EUB Church. He graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1966. He completed his B.S. Degree from Purdue University in organic chemistry. He continued his education, achieving his Masters Degree in Chemistry from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
His career was in chemical research working for Reilly Industries in Indianapolis until retiring in 2000.

Ernie was a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association. He found a true passion in photography. He enjoyed taking pictures in nature, at the Indianapolis Zoo, of flowers and of unique life forms.

Survivors include his mother Imogene Crowe of Brazil; one brother Forrest Crowe and wife Carol of Jasonville; two nephews, Jeremiah Crowe (Belinda) and Isaac Crowe (Melissa); one grand-niece Sierra Crowe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Crowe, May 27, 2009.

Funeral Information

Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at French Funeral Home with Rev. John Fischer officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1.
