Journey's is a free Bereavement Support Group

A 6 week course will begin each Monday, June 4 through July 9, 2012 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., at The Renaissance, 101 W. National Ave., Brazil. Leslie Vernon McKeehan

Leslie Vernon McKeehan, 58, of Brazil, passed away January 25, 2012 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

Leslie was born June 7, 1953, in Rockport, Indiana, the son of Leslie Virgil and Lillian Ethel (Milam) McKeehan. Leslie worked as a construction worker and truck driver for many years. Most recently he had worked at the Jiffy MiniMart, in Terre Haute.

Leslie enjoyed working on cars, trucks and motorcycles. He also enjoyed watching racing and fishing and spending a lot of time with his family especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son in infancy Leslie V. McKeehan Jr.; and two half-sisters Janet Langley and Linda Davis.

He is survived by sons Virgil Lewis McKeehan of West Frankfort, IL and Christopher Crecelius; brothers: Robert McKeehan (Alice) of Illinois and Gary Wayne McKeehan of Westville, IN; sisters: Roberta McCullough of Brazil and Brenda Lee Golden of Brazil and a half-sister Carolyn Sue Peterson of Robinson, IL; companion of 30 years Patty Waller; step children: Marshall Waller of Brazil, Patty Waller of Brazil, Lori Durbin of Terre Haute; 6 step grandchildren as well as many extended family members.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held at Brazil United Pentecostal Church 1088 East U.S. Hwy 40 Brazil Monday, January 30, 2012 at 2:00pm with Sister Davis officiating. At his request cremation has been entrusted to French Funeral Home.
